These experiences taught me that when in a new situation, it is important to take initiative to achieve the goals you want, whether it's finding the right place to live, taking a chance on a different style of bedroom or making new friends. This, I think, is one of the most important lessons in study abroad and in life. Be proactive, which means that if you want something to happen, you should put in the work to make it happen.
Now that I have been here for four months, I am fully settled down. I love my house, I have great friends, and I do many interesting activities. I look forward to telling you more about them in future articles!
