Our environments are constituted of the natural world and surroundings. The environment also consists of the conditions in which a person, animal or plant functions and these settings affect all beings, both negatively or and positively. There are various environmental factors that impact the people of Mbarara which I will further explore.
Mbarara is a special place to live because of its many hills and mountains. Because it is surrounded by hills, the weather here is very cool unlike many other regions with extreme heat throughout the day. The temperature is only really hot for a short time in the afternoon.
The tropical savannah vegetation is integral to the survival of the people of Mbarara. Characterized by hills, grassland and sparse trees, the region can be wet or dry depending on the season. The grassland makes it easier for animal farmers to feed their livestock while the vegetation supports crops like maize, millet, cassava, plantains and bananas.
