One of my favorite trips that I have taken so far in Mongolia was a trip to a town named Kharkhorin. Kharkhorin used to be the capital of Mongolia. There are very beautiful temples and treasures there. I don’t know if you have ever heard about Chinggis Khan or the Mongolian Empire, but it was Chinggis Khan himself that decided that Kharkhorin should be the capital of Mongolia. It was very interesting to see all of the old temples and ruins of Kharkhorin. When I was in Kharkhorin, I also got to do two amazing things: horseback riding and holding an eagle. Mongolia is full of surprises!
