I was overjoyed to be accepted. This year, not only will I learn more about border regions and the German language, but I will also live only an hour's train ride away from Clara and her family. Plus, because Saarbrücken is right next to France and Luxembourg, I can still practice my French! I wanted to live abroad because I believe immersing myself in a language and culture is the best way to learn, but another huge part of my motivation also stems from a desire to continue getting to know Clara and her family.
