Hej! Hello! My name is Julia Frank, and I am 21 years old. I am from Wilmington, Delaware, which is a very small state. You can drive from the top of the state to the bottom in roughly three hours! One great thing about Delaware is how close it is to so many other cool states, like Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. I decided to travel thirty minutes north of my hometown to attend the University of Pennsylvania for college, where I am currently a senior. I fell in love with Penn's distinct campus, which was just minutes from Center City in Philadelphia, filled with fun things to do and see. Two of my favorite things to do are to walk along the Schuylkill River Trail and to make a pitstop at the dog park and watch the cute dogs run around! At Penn, I study Marketing and Behavioral Economics with a minor in Psychology. In other words, I am interested in discovering why and how people make their consumption decisions.
I wanted to study abroad to learn about global consumption perspectives and decided that Sweden is an incredible place to learn about sustainable consumption. I am taking courses on sustainable business, mental health and well-being, and food. I am excited to learn more about life in Sweden and to share my findings with all of you!
