Traveler Bio

Olá! Hello! My name is Corinne and I am so excited to take you on this journey to Portugal! Originally from Arizona, I grew up in the desert of Phoenix before moving to Utah to go to school. I love being outside, and though I am no pro, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking and skiing (though I won't lie, I also like staying inside to read a good book or watch a movie).

I loved going on roadtrips as a kid, and as I grew up I loved meeting new people and trying new things through my travels. After living in Brazil for 18 months I fell in love with the Lusophone (Portuguese speaking) world. I also want to help make this world a more equal place for everyone. Have you noticed that most of the world's leaders are men? I noticed. And I want to know what we can do to change that. I was blessed with a U.S. Fulbright Research Grant to study this in Portugal, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it!

Want to learn how you could be a Fulbright Scholar like me? The Fulbright Program is the United States government's flagship international exchange program. Fulbrighters foster mutual understanding between the United States and partner nations, share knowledge across communities, and improve lives around the world. Learn more by clicking here!
