Traveler Bio

Sàwàtdii kâa! Greetings! My name is Madaleine Domingo, but you can call me Maddy. I am 22 years old, and originally from the San Francisco Bay area, where I enjoy swing dancing with my sister, reading in my hammock, and going on small, spontaneous adventures in my hometown.

I graduated from the University of San Diego, where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in political science and communication studies and also participated in an international relations dual degree Master's program. In San Diego, I love going on sunset walks on the beach, swing dancing with friends, trying new restaurants, and crossing off activities on my bucket list.

I heard about the U.S. Fulbright Program while I was studying abroad on a program called Semester at Sea. Eager to further develop my teaching skills and live in a foreign country, I applied for the Fulbright Thailand English Teaching Assistant (ETA) program.

Dreams really do come true! I am currently living in Thailand where I am grateful to begin teaching English to elementary school students in the Sukhothai province. I am so excited to share my time in this beautiful country with you all because the world is a magical place--there is so much to explore, so much to understand, and so many precious moments to share with those special people in your life. I cannot wait to get to know you all and build a connection together on this journey.
