I travel five stops on the train to and from school every day during the week, which is about five miles. If I want to, I can take the same train all the way into Paris! Depending on what part of the city I'm going to, it's between 25-30 miles, or about 50 minutes on the train.
In addition to traveling to and from school, I try to go into Paris at least once a week to experience different exciting things in the city. In the summer before my school started, I also visited the south of France, which is over 400 miles from Paris!
The train I take is called the RER B, and it is one of the most used trains in all of Europe! Every day thousands of people take it to get to and from work and school. When I'm travelling to school, I take the train five stops and then walk through a forest from the train station to my classes. It's very beautiful! Sometimes when it's raining hard I take the bus instead.
