Our News

What activity was the most fun this week?:

One of the most fun moments this week was spending time outdoors at night in the snow, making snowballs, and building a small snowman. It was a simple moment, but one that stayed with me long after it ended.

Being outside after work, surrounded by the quiet and stillness of the Englischer Garten, I noticed how differently winter (and daily life in the evening hours) feels here. Experiences like this remind me that living abroad is not defined by major trips or famous landmarks, but by ordinary evenings that feel unexpectedly new. These are the moments when a place slowly shifts from somewhere you are visiting to somewhere you truly live.

What did I read this week?:

I spent most of my reading time on academic articles related to my research at the LMU Munich Institute of Statistics. Reading is a central part of my daily routine and shapes how I spend much of my time here.

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I did not play organized sports this week, but I walked extensively around the city. Walking is a natural part of daily life in Munich and a primary way of experiencing the city.

Other news from this week:

Each week, everyday tasks like commuting, grocery shopping and moving through the city feel less like accomplishments and more like background rhythm. These routines, along with ongoing German language learning, have become part of daily life, making the city feel familiar without me needing to think much about it.
