Visiting a Homeschool Classroom in South Africa

All the rest of the bands and singers that the children mentioned were South African.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

The two kids whose answers were constantly about sports immediately answered they wanted to be professional tennis players. Some of the other answers included soccer players, engineers, teachers, a vet, and others weren't entirely sure yet.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

This was my absolute favorite question I asked the kids! The answers I got were so interesting. Paris, France was the most popular. Over half the kids chose this answer! Argentina, America and Germany were the other three answers.

What do you know or think about the United States?:

One kid thought there were bears roaming all over the United States! They thought that we have a lot of bears in our backyard. A lot of the kids thought it would be very cramped. They thought every American house had a lot of material things which made the houses very hard to live in. Some of the girls thought that we do nothing but shop. They really didn't know much about the United States except for what they saw on the television. Sound familiar?

What questions do you have for kids in the United States?:

This is a list of all the questions that the kids really wanted to ask you all. After you answer, I will try and get your answers to them to see how they respond!

"How many different kinds of sports do you play in fifth grade?"

"Is it common to go visit another state?"

"Do you have a lot of churches?"

"What is the most commonly eaten food for breakfast, lunch and dinner?"
