If students live in town, they walk with their siblings, take a taxi, have their family drop them off or bike. If students live in one of the surrounding villages, they carpool with family who are teachers at the same school they attend, catch a ride with a family member working in town or take the bustio (a minivan bus).
We all eat lunch at school in the cafeteria area or by the football (soccer) field. Our favorite lunches are rice and beans with salad, chicken fingers and veggies, pizza, lagsana, alfredo pasta and Mexican tacos. Favorite drinks include watermelon juice, orange fanta, lemonade and water.
We all speak Kriol and English. We are taught Spanish, but some students already know Spanish because they speak it at home. When we go into the classroom in the morning, we say "Good morning, teacher; good morning, classmates!"
