Instead of traditional waltz music, Z chose to dance to an instrumental version of Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud. While some quinceañeras might be more traditional and others more modern overall, a girl's quinceañera is a way to acknowledge a girls' growth and continuous growth journey. I was honored to be invited and attend such an important tradition in Z's life.
This tradition is not connected to the environment directly, but within the speeches given at the quinceañera, it was shared that taking part in community service and respecting the environment Z lives in are values that constitute an important part of her journey as a woman.
