My best meal was the Bavarian “Buffet” we had at my program to celebrate the beginning of the new semester. This meal was composed of a lot of familiar things, such as potato salad, various fruits and vegetables, and chips. However, there were also some very Bavarian articles, such as Leberkäse, bread with chives, and this specific dip made out of fat and cheese.
I listened to two playlists. The first was my normal playlist, in which I think George Michael’s “Fastlove part. 1” was the most notable. The second was my korean music playlist, from which I listened to Baek Yerin’s cover of “Antifreeze.” Feel free to recommend any German music you all like next time we meet. I am very open to suggestions.
The welcome to the semester event hosted by my program was the most enjoyable activity for me this week. Many of the other students performed their talents, and there were many displays that were musical. Our program’s dog also showed up again, which was a pleasant surprise because he was absent for a while. It was also really nice to meet some of the new people in my study abroad program.
