The weather was actually a little cold and rainy this week because we're in the winter season. It's not even close to being as cold as it is in New York right now, but compared to the hot season in Laos, 70 degrees is cold! We were all wearing scarves and rain jackets, and I even saw a few Lao people wearing winter coats!
I saw cows! There is an Agricultural division at the university where I teach and they own cows that roam our campus, looking for fresh grass to eat. Just don't get in their way! I also saw many water buffalo on farms located just outside of the city.
The coolest thing I saw in nature was Kuang Si Waterfall. It's a beautiful, three-tiered waterfall that is just an hour drive outside of Luang Prabang. It's well known for the stunning blue pools that are perfect for swimming in.
