I hope to continue exploring new places and finding different foods and drinks throughout my time here.
This week, I listened to “Abre la Puerta” by Triana in my flamenco class. I thought it was interesting because I got to see how rock music can be mixed with flamenco. Before this class, I mostly associated flamenco with traditional Spanish music, so hearing it combined with rock was something different. I liked getting to see another side of Spanish music and learning how different musical styles can influence each other. It also made me realize that music does not have to fit into one specific genre. Even though flamenco has its own traditions, it can still evolve by incorporating other styles. I thought this was a cool way to learn more about Spanish culture because I was able to experience the music instead of just reading about it.
Trying a banana matcha from a trendy place was amazing! The name of the cafe is Plaser. It serves speciality coffee through a wall. It's super popular on Instagram and TikTok.
Sadly, I haven't read anything this week.
Unfortunately, I haven't played any games or sports either.
