After a heartbreaking loss known as the Maracanaço in the 1950 World Cup against Uruguay, the country felt a major trauma, and the team needed a change. So they held a contest to design a new uniform, and the winning colors were yellow with green trim and blue shorts, just like the colors of the Brazilian flag!
I put some of my Portuguese to practice and asked someone at the museum how they felt about the upcoming World Cup. They said that they are incredibly excited to see Brazil play.
