I got to go to the museum called Museu de Ipiranga. This is a museum located near the place where Brazil's first emperor is thought to have proclaimed Brazil's independence.
Outside of that, I like to go to markets whenever they pop up in the different neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a specific day for its markets; in my area, it's Tuesdays. In Liberdade, it's Saturdays and Sundays. These markets are called Férias in Portuguese.
I read a lot of economic journals on the history of Brazilian development.
I played Minecraft with my roommates (rainy day activities)!
March 8th was International Women's Day! There was a rally on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, to help voice current issues women are facing in the country, like the wage gap.
However, the rain on this day was so bad that it dispersed a lot of the people attending the rally. The alert system triggered 3 times because of the possible floods and lightning.
In the summer, Brazil has lots of rain! Since the month of March is the last summer month, there's a famous song about the change in the seasons called "Águas de Março".
