Farewell!

Since, at the end of the day, I am on a study abroad program, I can't forget about the school aspect of this adventure. People in Singapore are very proud of their education and take it very seriously. The classes at the National University of Singapore (NUS) challenged me (and continue to) even in relatively laid-back weeks and in "easy" classes. I have learned a great deal about time management, learning to balance traveling, meeting people and maintaining friendships with the high level of rigor that is expected from every NUS student. As I return to my home university of UNC-Chapel Hill for my final year of undergrad, I am sure these lessons will stick with me.

I can't overstate how important it is to travel at some point in your life if you have the opportunity. Even if it doesn't feel like it in the moment, the things you take away from it will change you as a person in the best way. I have gained a new sense of empathy and have discussed geopolitical topics with people from every corner of the world. If you end up at a school that offers any study abroad programs and you have the ability to pursue it, please do! You will never regret it. With that being said, thank you to whoever is reading this for being on this ride with me, it's been a pleasure!
