Hi, everyone! Can you believe we’re already a quarter into the school year? I can’t, because that means I’m halfway through my time in London! It feels as though I just got here, but I’ve gotten to do so many things and plan to do so many more.
This week, I'll focus on how I’ve been integrating into the community, and since all of you had a lot of questions about what’s different here than in the U.S., I’ll tell you some more about my daily life and answer some of those questions! One thing I’ve had to adjust to is the way they do school here. There are a lot of differences, both good and bad from my perspective. One good thing is that I only have each class for three hours once a week! So, for example, I have Stage Combat class only on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.. Most days, I only go to one class. However, because I only have them once a week, classes are three hours long, and we have a lot of homework. Another good thing is that my homework is fun, such as doing fake sword fights and creating scenes. The theatre program at my school takes us to see a play every single week, so we’ve gotten to see a lot of cool things, but the only Broadway show I’ve gotten to see so far is Guys and Dolls.
