The Grand Prix Bern is a race famous for being the "most beautiful 10 miles in the world," and now I can see why! I ran with my friend Claire, who is from Michigan and is also a Fulbrighter. We felt nervous at the start, but as soon as we began running, the nerves went away. The atmosphere of the city was incredible, as people lined the streets and balconies, cheering us on. We had a fantastic time, high-fiving people in the crowd and enjoying the beautiful sights.

During the race, we ran through the historic old town, alongside the Aare river, and into some forest trails. Returning to the old town near the end of the race was amazing, as the encouragement from the crowd was so loud and motivating. There was a huge hill at the end that was really tough to climb, especially after running so much already. But I pushed through, and when I saw the finish line, I sprinted with all my energy, thanks to a big adrenaline rush!

Participating in this event was especially meaningful because I live in Bern. Seeing the city filled with excitement and support made me proud to be part of this community. I felt a great sense of accomplishment at the end. It was an unforgettable day and an incredible experience!
