Middle Eastern kebab shops and Asian restaurants are especially common. It's interesting to see how the foods available in a city reflect the different cultures and communities that live there. Even though I sometimes miss the food from home, trying different restaurants has been one of my favorite parts of living abroad!
I always listen to music while commuting to school and walking around the city. Music is one of my favorite ways to pass the time, especially when riding the metro. I've been listening to a lot of electronic music lately. I think it is the best for just walking around and, if I need to focus and get work done, it always help me get in the zone.
This week, I went to a board game bar with some friends from school. It was my first time trying one of these places in Paris. I've been to something similar in Chicago, and it's very cool to see that such concepts are also popular here! It was very fun. We played a few games like Monopoly, Jenga and UNO. It ended up getting super competitive, but all in good fun!
I've been reading a lot of my course materials from the Paris School of Business, especiallly from my finance class. I have a few group assignment presentations coming up, so I've been needing to read a lot of material about the way foreign countries operate and do business. It is not always the most exciting stuff to read in Paris, but it's something I have to do for class. Fortunately, some of it is interesting to me!
