The weather was pretty great, and we actually had quite the heatwave. I've been spending a lot of time out in Los Planes, officially called "Planes de Renderos", which is a little town in the mountains that's between San Salvador (the capital city) and the international airport. It's usually cold enough here to wear a sweater at night, but recently it's been too hot to even sleep with a sheet over me.
I've mainly seen the dogs and cats that live in my friend's house, a few stray dogs and cats in the street, and a bat!
I spent most of my time either writing or playing music this week, so I didn't spend a ton of time outside, but I did get to see a thunderstorm approach at night from the café where I play jazz every Thursday!
