Representatives from the district headquarters came to educate community members on how to be ready for an emergency. The mostly likely emergency is likely a flood, as we are moving into the rainy season. Last year we had severe flooding in February, causing the schools to be closed for 2 weeks.
I am talking to my family in the United States, including your teacher Mrs. Halverson, about visiting Pewaukee, Wisconsin in December. I also have been talking to some Peace Corps friends about a road trip that we plan to take north through the countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Namibia, Mosambique, and Tanzania. There are 54 countries on the African continent and these are just a few in the southeast.
