Hi fellow world travelers! I’m Kacey. I was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was the second daughter and was soon followed by my little brother, so I have a big sister and a little brother. We moved to North Carolina when I was four years old and I have lived there ever since. (Until now, of course!) In middle and high school, I discovered that my best subject in school was Language Arts. When it came time for high school, I applied to an Early College school, which is a five-year program in which you get your high school diploma and associate degree at the same time. My classes were on the campus of a community college. The other Early College high school students and I had to choose majors because we took college classes. I chose English as my major and began taking literature and writing classes at the community college. I planned to transfer there after graduating high school to continue on and get my bachelor’s degree in English. I even I volunteered at a library for four years in high school to try out a possible career choice with an English degree. Then Spanish class happened.
