Surrounded by Celebrities?

It is just unlikely that you would meet them coincidentally. Many celebrities in South Korea work very hard to create opportunities for face-to-face interaction with their fans. There are concerts, pre-recordings, fan meetings, brand events and many other situations in which you can meet your celebrities. Even if you don't like K-pop and are more interested in South Korean actors, they also hold the same events, even including concerts in some cases. Therefore, your dreams are not impossible; it just depends on whether you can get a ticket!

If you, unfortunately, can't get a ticket, don't be sad! While you may not be able to see your idols in person, if they are popular, you will still see them all the time. When I landed in South Korea, I was thinking very hard about how South Korea is not just the country of K-pop and K-dramas. I walked through border control, got all of my paperwork checked, and walked to the baggage claim... where I saw a giant billboard of V from BTS advertising for a brand. I did not realize that this was only the beginning of my celebrity billboard sightings. Almost every chain brand in South Korea has a brand ambassador, and that brand ambassador is usually a South Korean idol or actor. I saw V again advertising for a chain coffee shop. A Korean actor named Park Bogum is the ambassador for The North Face. An Yujin from IVE is the face of my bank company. No matter where you are in South Korea, you will see at least one advertisement with the face of a celebrity on it.

Would you say that you see celebrities everywhere in America? Is it easy for you to meet your favorite celebrity?
