Journal Entry:

As I sit down to write this final journal entry for Reach the World, I keep thinking about all of you. From the very beginning of my time in Peru, you were not just students reading along, you all were part of this journey with me. Every time I sat down to write, I imagined your questions, your curiosity and what you might be wondering about life here.

When I first arrived, everything felt new and overwhelming. I did not know the language well, I did not know the community, and I had no idea what my days would look like. Over time, this place and the people in it became so important to me, and getting to share those moments with you made them even more meaningful.

I thought about you when I was teaching in classrooms, when I was learning new Spanish words, when I was working on projects about water and health and even during the simple, everyday moments. I wanted you to see what I was seeing—not just the big, exciting things, but also the small, real parts of daily life because those are the moments that truly show what it means to live somewhere new.

I hope that through these journal entries, you felt connected to this place.
