Farewell, Friends!

However, due to the timing of the spring semester in Japan and the Covid-19 pandemic, I settled for a fall semester in Akita. I ended up liking this program better because I was not in a big city. I was surrounded by both traditional and modern houses, and I walked by small shrines and fields of rice everyday. Although Tokyo is vastly different fron New York, I feel that by studying in Akita, I was able to see more of the Japanese culture than I would in the big city.

I hope my journey and this virtual exchange inspire you to pursue a study abroad adventure of your own some day. Living and study abroad is unforgettable and truly livechanging, and if you work hard, you can do everything I've done and more. Thank you for following my journey!
