Hi, Class! It is officially May, which means it is finally time to go home to Sunnyvale this month! I am super excited to reunite with my family, my friends and my dog Bailey. I am excited to be back in my room, in my own comfy bed at home and back to my normal life in California. While I am excited to be home, I can’t help feeling a little sad to leave Ireland. I have loved every moment in Limerick and I will miss all the friends I have made, the green fields outside my window and the life I have here, too. I will miss being able to walk everywhere and having easy access traveling to other European countries. I will miss waking up to the sound of birds chirping just outside my window in the morning and seeing the sun rising and shining into my room. There are so many things I will miss about Ireland. I could go on forever, but we would be here all day!
I am forever thankful I got the opportunity to live here this spring through my study abroad program with my college. I hope you all have enjoyed learning about Ireland’s culture through some of my experiences. Hopefully, when you are a bit older, you can get the chance to study in another country, too! There are many resources and ways to make traveling a reality.
