Right now, I am teaching English in Spain through the Fulbright program, and it has been quite the adventure. In Spain, I still enjoy the things I loved doing in the U.S., like hiking, cooking and playing French horn, but in new and different ways. I have also discovered new things I love, like eating pulpo (octopus), learning Galician, helping my neighbor in their vineyard and running along my town’s beautiful coastline. This is the longest I have ever been away from the U.S., and although I miss my family (and my dogs) very much, I would not trade this opportunity to explore more of the world for, well, the world!
