Korean Traditions

Why does the community have this tradition?:

   The hanbok is centered around the Korean fondness for the natural world and the world of the supernatural where it was important to wear clothing that would provide you with protection and and blessings. The ideas of Confucius also affected the ways in which women dressed.

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?:

      Traditional hanboks of Goguryeo Dynasty emphasized the vibrant colors that correspond with the five elements of the yin and yang theory: white (metal), red (fire), blue (wood), black (water) and yellow (earth).
