Interview with Bruno

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts around 7:30 AM, and if you are late, they will not let you inside the school. Sometimes, I would arrive late, and they wouldn't let me in. Generally, school ends by noon.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I go to school with my mother or with my brother. With my brother, I get to school by bike, and when I go with my mother, I we get there walking. 

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

For lunch, I eat whatever my grandmother cooks. Usually stroganoff, steak,  pasta, and rice. I really like soda, guaraná, a Brazilian soda and some traditional dishes like vatapa, and tacaca.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

We speak Portuguese in school but there are also English classes. We would say olá or oi, which means hello in Portuguese. 

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Some common names are David, Luiz, Fernado, Sofia, and Maria.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

I study english, arts, philosophy, religion, mathematics, history, Portuguese, and science. My favorite subject is math!

What is your homework like?:

Depending on the subject, we usually have to answer questions from a workbook or answer questions the teacher asks on a separate sheet of paper.
