¡Buenas (Hello)! I am so excited to share this amazing journey in Spain with you! Currently, I am living in Seville, which is a city in southern Spain. This city is full of sunny weather, beautiful historical landmarks and friendly locals. I am here studying journalism, politics and Spanish right in the heart of the city. I have loved my time here and my courses, but it is definitely hard work taking all my classes in Spanish. Luckily, I have made some great friends, and my professors are kind and patient with us, as we try to communicate in a different language. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me, and I can’t wait to share what I have learned during my time here with you!
My name is Kiera McLaughlin and I am a junior at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. I am originally from New Hampshire and grew up in a small city right near to the Vermont border. At this time of year, I am used to the chilly fall weather and the autumn leaves turning pretty reds, yellows and oranges. Here, in Seville, the weather is much warmer during these months--in fact, it feels like summer all of the time. While I do miss the New England environment, I cannot complain about having an extended summer!
I came to Seville because of my love and passion for Spanish and journalism.
