In Seoul, only Korean is spoken. However, because there were many tourists, I heard lots of languages, like Japanese, English, German, French and Spanish.
They use Korean won. A US dollar is worth about 1500 won, so the conversion rate is quite tricky.
A bottle of water costs about 2,000 won, which is a little over a dollar.
Between the fried chicken, Korean BBQ and ginseng soup I had over there, it is hard to decide what my best meal was. If I had to choose, I would have to pick the Korean BBQ. They have this huge metal bowl in the center of your table, and after they crank up the heat, they fill it with chicken, vegetables, rice cakes, noodles and the most delicious sauce and seasoning. My friends told me it wasn't really traditional Korean BBQ, but I still loved it.
I listened to the soundtrack of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, especially during the trip there. I even included some of the songs in my Youtube video! The whole traveling process was very chaotic, and if you've seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, you'll know that it fit in well.
