Lastly, I want you to know that no matter how hard it gets, sunshine comes around the corner. Recently, it has been snowing in Hungary. It is so cold and miserable to walk around. It feels like the sun will never come back out and I will never feel warm again. However, I trust that summer will be here and before I know it will be warm and I will be able to go to the park again and bask in the rays of that bright sun. Nothing lasts forever, not sadness, not winter. Sun and joy will return again. In the meanwhile, it’s okay to feel sad and to miss the sun or whatever it is that you miss. Learn to lean on your friends and family during this time and know that you’re in it together. Just keep an eye out for small glimmers and rays of sunshine when you can find them. It can make your winter season a little easier.
Anyway I hope this advice travels with you into your life and into your future adventures wherever they take you! I highly recommend exploring the world, especially through study abroad and opportunities like Fulbright, when you are older. Maybe you’ll make it to Budapest or maybe you’ll see places I’ve never been to. Adventure is out there, you just have to be brave enough to look for it.
