I see hundreds of hopeful students on their way to class bantering about the next festival, holiday or special event that week. I see dozens of rickshaw drivers on the move by day and a sleeping driver under a blanket in the backseat of his rickshaw by night. I can see the cows without a care in the world walking straight through the busiest roads of Bengaluru. I can see these things so clearly--with smells and sounds and feelings to match.
If you ask me, the best thing about Bengaluru, India are its people. I am going to miss everyone! I walked the streets with them for months now, and soon I'll be on a jet plane headed in the opposite direction. But it's this feeling of anxiety and trepidation which brought me here. I wanted to come here to live and eventually dread the day I'd have to leave. Will I ever come back? Maybe. But will I or this city ever be the same? Probably not. But that's alright, we've grown.
I've packed my bags. I'm ready to go. Thanks for coming on this adventure with me!
