The weather was very sunny, clear and chilly! There were light winds, but nothing too extreme, like towards the beginning of the year! It gets much colder at night, after the the sunsets, but during the day, as long as you have a long and thick jacket, you can still walk around outside comfortably!
There are a lot of stray cats in the countryside in Korea near where I live. I also went bird-watching at a nature reserve near my apartment and saw a variety of birds: kingfishers, swans, magpies, herons (including Great Egrets) and Daurian redstarts — the males have bright orange bellies.
When we were at the reserve, the pond was frozen over with snow, and when we looked down, we could see animal footprints along the edge of the water. Our guess was that one was a raccoon dog because the prints had four toe marks with small claw tips and looked a bit like a tiny hand spread out in the snow.
