Outside the house is a massive garden that is split up into different areas, each with a particular theme: there is, for example, a rose garden, a Spanish garden, a stone garden and a Japanese garden.
Learning that these elaborate places were in fact homes that people lived in, my friends and I started a challenge to take a selfie in every single mirror we saw in these grand houses of Nice. I personally think things like photo challenges and scavenger hunts make learning fun, and you get to explore new places a lot more meaningfully by taking part in these activities. What no one anticipated was how many mirrors the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild had! I think our final selfie photo album had over 30 photos in it! And this was even after ignoring the tiny mirrors inside of other things like jewelry boxes...
