Interview with Lam Tuyền

I really admire them because they give me lots of motivation. When they started their career, they were 16-17 just like me. It is really magic, and I don't know how they did it. I hope that I can do that too in the future.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

It is a bit vague for me because I cannot choose the exact field that I want to learn. I have two plans. The first is plan A: I become a successful artist or work in the communications field. I can devote my talent and strength to the V-pop scene. My second plan is to become a teacher who teaches literature or music. They are my best subjects so I think that I can teach others well. My goal is to get into my dream university, and achieve an IELTS score of 7.5 or 7.0.

Max: Can you tell us a little bit about the IELTS?

It's an English test that universities in Vietnam use to accept students. We can use IELTS scores to apply to schools instead of taking the college admission test. We do not need to learn English at the university if we achieve a certain IELTS score. There are many advantages.

[IELTS are scored on a scale of 1-10. A proficient score is around a 6.5, a very advanced score is an 8.0 or higher. They are similar to the SAT in the US].

Max: Which university do you want to go to?

I also can't choose. The first one is in Hanoi. It's a school that teaches music and other arts, as well as digital marketing and international relationships [relations]. The second location is Saigon, or HCMC. They also teach the same subjects as the university in Hanoi.
