This week marks the end of my Reach the World journey… for now! I want to take a moment to reflect a little on the experiences I’ve gotten to share with all of you during my time in France.
I first introduced you to the city of Rennes, showed you what a day in the life looked like living here and explained what it was like to do an internship in France. We then took a short break to Strasbourg, France, and Brussels, Belgium, over winter break, followed by a day at a Fest-Deiz in Rennes after coming back on the train. We learned about the historic importance of the Brittany Parliament and saw the work going on at the Institut-Agro Rennes-Anger. Finally, we discovered what makes the ENS universities special and the different cultural events hosted by them.
And let's not forget the galettes we ate at La Rennaise, where I decided to return to end it all off! Volunteering for Reach the World has been a remarkable journey. Sitting down each week to write about my experiences has enabled me to carefully reflect on just how special the opportunity I’ve been given is, and sharing these experiences with you has itself been a special experience.
