When I first got to China, I was picked up at the airport by a student assistant. She was so nice and understanding when I met her! We have become good friends and she even gave me a gift this week for Christmas. Making friends and great memories has been the best part of China for me. I was not sure how I would feel about living in a different country but, after a while, I felt very comfortable. Although there were a lot of things I missed from home, I missed my family the most and certain foods and activities.
I get to spend Christmas at home for about two months! I am happy to have this time with my family and share my experiences with them. I will be going back to Shanghai, China in February for the second semester. I am excited to go back and have another chance to do things I may have missed and start an internship. China is an amazing place with tons to do for fun and many things to learn.
I hope you all have enjoyed learning about China with me. Telling you all about what I have seen and talking on the video chats has been such a great addition to my journey. I loved sharing this and hearing you all being so excited to learn. Keep being curious and you all can have your own journey one day. Keep an open mind and let yourself imagine trips to other countries.
