A typical day in my life here involves going to the lab at 9 am. Unlike a lab that you might think of, with beakers and test tubes, this lab is an office space, since our work is done on computers. In the morning, I have meetings where my teammates and I discuss topics like "How does AI judge what is fair?" and "Who does this technology affect and how?".
In the afternoon, I might read a few papers on new inventions and current events. I also write and contribute to my own papers–I find sharing my own perspective and educating others about AI exciting! Sometimes, our lab hosts panels or conferences, where we get to present our work.
Don't forget the fikas! Fika, a social coffee break, typically happens at 10 am and 2 pm, where my teammates and I get to know each other outside of work. At 5 pm, I head home!
