One of my favorite quotes ever is from Dr. Seuss, and it goes like this: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." This is how I am feeling as my time with Reach the World draws to a close. Although I am sad this chapter of my study abroad experience is over, I am so glad I had the opportunity to share my adventures with you.
This winter only marks the halfway point of my time in Germany. The semester will end in February, but I am staying until July to continue my year of studies. I have many exciting plans ahead of me. I hope to travel to Ireland, Scotland, Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, Poland and throughout more of Germany before I go home next summer. I have learned so much already over the past two months, and I can't wait for all the things I will learn in the time to come!
I hope you have enjoyed coming along on my travels as much as I have enjoyed having you with me. That being said, I would like to leave you with this last piece of advice: although learning about the world from someone else's perspective can be fun and interesting, it is nothing like experiencing it for yourself. I think that studying abroad is one of the most incredible opportunities you could ever have during your educational career. It has literally changed my life and has opened up so many new doors for me, and I guarantee it will do the same for you.
