My amazing study abroad experience has ended! I am so proud that I made it through this and have so much to reflect upon. Although I am sad it is over, this is not goodbye to Italy forever!
Not every country can say it is surrounded by water but still attached to a continent. Italy is a country with this trait, but the country's geography comes with both benefits and challenges.
In 79 AD, the volcano Vesuvius erupted and destroyed Pompeii. The thick ash killed many people. Since the ash covered Pompeii, today the city is so well preserved that it is like walking in the past.
