My time so far in South Korea has truly been a journey. I have settled in and am making the time to get to know my surroundings. So far, I know that Koreans drink way too much coffee. It seems you can find a coffee shop on every street corner in Korea.
Other common street corner sightings I come across a lot are pharmacies. Medications in the United States are generally prescribed by a doctor and dispensed by a pharmacist, but in South Korea this is a relatively new concept. Although there used not to be many pharmacies in South Korea, that changed 15 years ago; nowadays, one can obtain any medication directly over the counter in every pharmacy. So South Korea is now not short of pharmacies!
My least favorite things so far in Seoul, South Korea, are spiders. They are very different from those in California. I still do not like them! I have only seen spiders outside, but it's getting colder here, and I've seen fewer and fewer spiders. Uuhhh... I hope they don't come in the dorms! I think they would be the only reason for me to return home for Winter break!
