Dear Class,
It is now March! Mongolian winter has begun to thaw, and along with it, my journey in Mongolia will be coming to a close in a few months. I will not be leaving until July after Naadam (a traditional Mongolian summer holiday), but my time in the Fulbright Mongolia program as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) will be coming to a close in late May/early June. Being an ETA for Fulbright in Mongolia has truly been an incredible experience, one that I would recommend to anyone who has an adventurous spirit, since it is definitely not the typical European study away experience!
I hope you all are having an exciting winter and that spring is beginning to melt a little bit of the cold away in Wisconsin – I know it is also very cold there too! Make sure you are all bundled up still, since spring is a sneaky time for bacteria and germs to come to you while your bodies are still warming up from the cold. I hope while the spring trees and flowers blossom, you all also continue to grow your knowledge about Mongolia and all the other subjects you are learning currently!
