Across Europe: A Soccer Adventure

The Santiago Bernabéu, home of Real Madrid, is one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. Real Madrid is the biggest soccer team in Spain (kind of like an NFL team in the U.S.), and people here choose their team and stick with it for life
Even though I’m far from home, I found a burger that tastes just like the ones I love back in the U.S., and the fries were just as perfect. As you can tell, soda comes in cans here—no unlimited refills like back home!
Standing in the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid’s legendary stadium, was a dream come true, especially for my boyfriend! Being on the field and seeing where his favorite team plays was absolutely unforgettable
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s stadium in London, we got to sit in the second row—so close to the players! It was amazing being right in the action and feeling the energy of the stadium
Retiro Park in Madrid is like the city’s version of Central Park, but a bit cozier—about 60% smaller than what you might be used to. It’s still full of beautiful paths, fountains and spots to relax and enjoy the day
Another view from our seats at Stamford Bridge as we took in all the excitement around us
Standing next to a holographic screen of Jude Bellingham, one of my favorite Real Madrid players, felt so real, like he was standing right there with me!
Big Ben in London is even more incredible in person! Its towering clock face and intricate details make it one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. I loved seeing it up close and imagining all the history it has witnessed over the years
