What was the best meal this week?:

Dakgalbi was the best meal I had this week. Dakgalbi is a really big dish of food that is typically shared with around 4 people. It has marinated chicken stir-fried in a gochujang-based sauce with vegetables like cabbage, sweet potatoes and onions. It also has noodles, cheese, rice cakes and dumplings in it. This is probably my favorite Korean food. It is really really good!

What music did I listen to this week?:

Spaghetti by Le Sserafim has been all over the radio here. Le Sserafim is a popular K-pop group that has 5 members in the group. They are also popular internationally. They recently released a new song called Spaghetti. The chorus is really catchy, and their music video is fun to watch. You can probably guess that there is a lot of spaghetti in the lyrics. One of the members even has bright orange hair meant to mimic spaghetti in the music video.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

On Friday, my friends and I explored a new neighborhood of Seoul. We went to a famous bakery, walked around the neighborhood park, tried a French-style cafe, took pictures at a photobooth, and finished the evening with a really hearty dinner. Korea is a culture that is based around hanging out in groups. So there are a lot of group-based activities you can do in Korea. It's rare to see people doing things by themselves. For example, eating at a restaurant by themselves or going shopping by themselves. Everything is commonly done in groups.

What did I read this week?:

I read Winnie the Pooh but in Korean to practice my Korean. I got this book at a local bookstore in Korea.
