This week, I discovered the Spanish artist C. Tangana from Madrid. His song Antes de Morirme has groovy beats. The song has 41 million views on YouTube.
I attended a professional soccer game in Spain. La Liga (First Division National League Championship) is a soccer division known worldwide. Teams like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF play in this tournament. I actually still cannot believe that I was in a stadium that Messi and Ronaldo have played inside. I went to watch Galicia's team Celta against Sevilla. Celta broke its long losing strike with a single goal!
This week, I read about a debate between a human and an IBM robot. The human won, but it is important to mention that the robot was not connected to the Internet. Given my electrical engineering background, I understand how difficult it would be to program a robot to debate. I am so impressed by the advances in artificial intelligence. From what I read, I infer that soon robots will be making decisions for us.
This week, I signed up for kickboxing classes. I did not play any other games or sports.
This week, my other roommate arrived from Canada. She had issues with her visa and it delayed her arrival date. We have planned to travel together to Santiago de Compostela soon.
