School starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m.
It only takes 30 minutes to walk to school.
I eat lunch with my friends in the classroom. We move our desks together and make a larger table to eat on. I love bread. (Japan has a variety of bread options. Many of which are more similar to sweets and pastries.)
At school, we speak in Japanese. I can speak with the ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) in English sometimes, also. “Hello” in Japanese is konnichiwa (koh-knee-chi-wa).
Yuuka and Haruka are popular names at my school.
We study Chinese, Korean, English, mathematics, Japanese history, world history, Japanese, physical education, biology, chemistry, comprehension and information. I take an English class, which is my favorite.
We get handouts in all of our classes for things that we will learn that day and also handouts for what we need to prepare for the next day of class.
