Many want to see Central Park, either quoting Home Alone or Friends. One student wants to ride in a yellow taxi to see the Statue of Liberty, although they were equally excited about the prospect of riding a ferry to see it instead. It's making me feel excited about the idea of exploring locally once I get home!
The responses varied. Some dived into politics, others listed the number of states the US has with so many different accents and food types. One student was particurly interested in how large the country is, telling me how many Britains can fit into Texas, and others noted its natural beauty with Natonal Parks.
They wanted to know if students in the US are equally obsessed with 6-7 as they were, what it was like to ride on the yellow school bus, how many states does the average student visit, and what their favorite British band is. They were also very intrigued by what American students ate for lunch.
